Unit 116b - 520 4th Street

Super cute 2 bedroom, 2 baths half-duplex. Bright and clean with everything you should need for your stay to be comfortable. There is a screened porch with a table and chairs to enjoy a meal outside without the bugs biting! There is a new 30' step-down dock for your boat. A fish table and bait freezer are provided. There is a queen bed in the master and 2 doubles in the guest room. WiFi internet and Cabana Club membership. The house is located at the end of 4th Street so there is very little idle time to get out to the ocean. You can also fish right from the dock. There is plenty of parking for a trailer and 2s. **Pets are not allowed**

Key Colony Beach is located at MM 53.5 at the northern end of Marathon. The Islands of Marathon span about 15 miles in the Middle Keys, halfway between Key West and Key Largo. The historic Island of Pigeon Key is located at the north end of the 7-mile bridge with its 65-foot high span. The bridge offers easy access to the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. The Island of Marathon is a bird watcher's paradise - spot roseate spoonbills, bald eagles, great blue herons, and much more native to the region. The Marathon Wild Bird Center is located at Crane Point Hammock, a hardwood hammock and natural history museum. Kayak and explore the miles of tunnels under the mangroves. Snorkel and dive beautiful natural reefs. We have both shallow and deeper reefs and wrecks for more advanced divers. Every type of saltwater angling is available here! See dolphin and sea turtles in the wild or stop by the Dolphin Research Center or Turtle Hospital for a tour. Or just relax on the beach and enjoy doing nothing!

  Outstanding location that provides an easy direct access to the Atlantic in less than five minutes. 30’ docking space is new and worked well for our 28’ boat. Home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. While the mattress in one room could’ve been replaced the others were fine and comfortable. And while the shower water pressure was low in the main bath it was fine in the second. Overall thumbs up for location, location, location.

  After decades of staying in various motels and hotels lbetween Islamorada and Big Pine, we decided to try a botel on the canal on Key Colony Beach. What an amazing experience!! The location was perfect, the unit itself was beautiful and extremely clean, and the staff was fantastic. There is no other place we will stay in the future.

  We had stayed here a couple of times before under previous owner. Everything was just as nice as before. Super easy access to the ocean from the dock. Cabana Club is at the end of the street.
  
  Instructions on the fridge say the router & password are somewhere in the living room. When we were there, the router was under the bed in the first bedroom.

  We enjoyed our stay in Key Colony, the house was clean and perfect for our family of four. We had plenty of room for our boat on the dock, and to park our trailer in the driveway. We had a great time and the neighbors who owned the other side were there and wonderful! We spent many nights hanging out together in the back yard. My only complaint is I wish we had known there was construction going on next door as we were woken up every weekday mor
  I g at 7:30 am to the sounds of hammers, saws, drilling, and grinding. They were also working next to the screen porch which made spending the day enjoying it difficult. It wasn’t the owners or realtors fault - but it was our only complaint as it prevented any sleeping in. Other than that I would recommend this as a vacation destination! Clean and perfect for a family of four to enjoy!

  We have rented this unit every year from 2014 to 2018 and gave it several 5 star reviews. Last year ownership changed and attention to detail has declined. Instructions for connecting to WiFi were incorrect (router was under the bed), the living room ceiling fan did not work, there were no bath mats, there was a plastic tag holder on one of the new towels implicating that it had not been washed, the top rack of the dishwasher did not clean dishes, the outside grill was dirty and there were only 5 clothes hangers. As noted in a previous review there were stickers/labels on several of the windows and although the missing kayak paddles were replaced the seat cushions were torn and moldy. To make matters worse construction noises from the adjacent lot were so loud at times that conversation was difficult. Although the owner was not in control of this noise issue a heads up would have been appreciated. We were disappointed with our stay especially considering how much we enjoyed this property in the past.

  Excellent. As an 80 year old, I found dealing with new computer generated rental agreement process a little annoying so I dealt directly with KCB realty agent who was very helpful and courteous. Unit was great.

  We were there for 2 weeks and will not go back!! The beds were awful!! They put like a temperpeduc topper on them and it was the wrong size so you practically fell if the bed when I went to get out. There was room fir a king and the master should have one. There were stickers still all over the new windows and the packing film. We had to remove them. None of the door walls had screens do you couldn’t get a nice breeze going through without 20 flies coming in. They could upgrade the main tv to a larger one that you could actually see. Kayaks were there but no paddles and the life jackets were all dry rotted.
  Construction next door workers were there every day at 720 -730. Very loud tools. No sleep I I vacation with that kind of noise. If your gonna tent a place that hadn’t been rented in a while you should have the cleaning people do a quick refresh clean. There was a lot of dust, dust balls, and hair balls. Last note. If your gonna rent a place you should first stay in it at least one night do you can get and idea of how bad the sleeping beds really are!!!
