Key Colony Beach is located at MM 53.5 at the northern end of Marathon. The Islands of Marathon span about 15 miles in the Middle Keys, halfway between Key West and Key Largo. The historic Island of Pigeon Key is located at the north end of the 7-mile bridge with its 65-foot high span. The bridge offers easy access to the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. | The Islands of Marathon are a bird watcher's paradise - spot roseate spoonbills, bald eagles, great blue herons, and much more native to the region. The Marathon Wild Bird Center is located at Crane Point Hammock, a hardwood hammock and natural history museum. | | Kayak and explore the miles of tunnels under the mangroves. Snorkel and dive beautiful natural reefs. We have both shallow and deeper reefs and wrecks for more advanced divers. Every type of saltwater angling is available here!   Adorable home near the end of the street/canal, perfect for a family of four. Very clean & recently renovated. Great dock for a boat & plenty of parking for cars & boat trailer.

  We stay on Key colony every year and this place was great. Good location, lots of extras (kayak, fully stocked with paper towels, garbage bags, etc). Only complaint we have is there was hair in the shower when we arrived. The cleaning crew must have missed the back end of the shower in the master bed room. We threw it away and did not find any other issues during our stay.

  Our stay exceeded our expectation. The house is a perfect size for 4 people. The patio is perfect for enjoying the boat traffic on the canal. All electronics worked good. neighbors where friendly.
